Spring meetings

Last week, Neuroscience PhD student Marco Peña Garcia delivered the lab’s very first trainee talk outside of Emory! He attended a Janelia conference on the mechanisms of foraging, which sounded like a great meeting with people studying foraging in many different contexts. (If you heard Marco’s talk and have any feedback or ideas to share, please reach out!)

Later this month, Dr. Devineni and Neuroscience PhD student Trinity Pruitt will be attending the Neuronal Circuits meeting at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. We will present a poster on our ongoing project studying taste projection neurons. We hope to see lots of our circuits and behavior friends there, especially Drosophila peeps!

We’re also eyeing the ISOT meeting in June, in case any chemosensory friends want to meet up in Iceland…
