Summer happenings

Summer 2024 has been a busy time in the Devineni lab. We had a record number of people in the lab (3 grad students, 2 research specialists, and 4 undergrads) and lots of exciting projects are underway! Dr. Devineni presented at the ISOT meeting in Iceland, lectured at the CSHL Drosophila course, and submitted a major NSF grant. We also finished revisions for our bioRxiv paper on sugar taste processing and resubmitted the paper - fingers crossed for good reviews! (sadly, journal policies prohibit us from sharing a new version on bioRxiv)

Our LGS-SOAR summer student, Joyce Yeo, presented a great poster on her summer project.

We had a mid-summer party featuring pizza, drinks, and lab-themed pictionary to celebrate the summer and say goodbye to Joyce! Now we know who can draw the best fly and whose fly looks like a chicken.
