First lab grant!

Our lab received its first external funding, a three-year grant from the Whitehall Foundation! This grant will fund a project investigating how taste information is processed in the first layer of the fly brain. We hope to answer some fundamental questions about taste processing, like how different taste modalities are encoded, how hunger state modulates taste processing, and how different taste pathways interact to regulate behavior. We are grateful to the Whitehall Foundation for their generous support.
